Mr Hublot wins Luxembourg’s first Oscar!
The Franco-Luxembourg production, “Mr. Hublot” by Laurent Witz and Alexandre Espigares won the 2014 Academy Award for best animated short film, beating the Disney favourite “Get a Horse!”
The film tells the story of Mr Hublot, part man-part robot , who lives in a retro-futuristic world, where characters are made of mechanical parts.
The arrival of a robot dog, Robo Pet, a somewhat invasive companion, turns his life upside down….
